About The Role
Salisbury Group have an opportunity for a Design Coordinator to join our Project Team. This role is mobile, with travel across the UK when required.
As a Design Coordinator, you will be part of the Project Team, led by the Director of Engineering, and will be responsible for supporting all projects undertaken by Salisbury Group. Proficiency in using AutoCAD is essential for this role.
Project works are predominately M&E focused for existing clients, but also include a number of refurbishment / uplift works. Salisbury also has a significant footprint in large manufacturing infrastructure and port authorities where sustainable energy solutions are delivered.

The Design Coordinator will report to the Project Coordinator and working closely with estimating and delivery teams to ensure that Salisbury is compliant to all appropriate regulations throughout each project lifecycle.
About You

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Supporting each project phase through design packages to ensure successful delivery to time, cost and quality
• Working closely with the estimating team to understand the project scope and responsibilities throughout
• Undertaking site surveys / meetings whilst liaising with consultants and subcontractors on site
• Identify and control any project risks linked to design, quality or programme
• Develop and recommend improvements to project work processes and documentation
• Coordinating and documenting information flow between the project stakeholders
• Technical guidance to site teams to ensure compliance with current standards
• Offering value engineering options where applicable
• Assist with site management when required
• Updating the project and CDM documentation 
• Specification writing and design compliance with client specifications
Qualification, Certification and Training
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
Knowledge, Specific Role Skills and Experience
  • M&E design / calculation knowledge and experience
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations 
  • The ability to provide technically sound design solutions
  • Commercially focused with experience of contract conditions
  • Exposure to multiple project operations
  • Experience of working with minimal supervision and supporting other team members
Other Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence
