About The Role
We have great opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join our commercial team in Milton Keynes.
The Commercial team within Salisbury provides a commercial management service to a number of departments including, Projects / Life Cycle and Service Charge departments, covering all operational expenditure. The Commercial team administers contracts and manages the impact of new requirements, capital projects and contract variations.

The Commercial team is responsible for ensuring that: 

Salisbury’s operational budget is accurate and achieved, financial commitments, risks and opportunities are managed, monitored and forecast effectively, all expenditure offers value for money and is instructed on acceptable terms and conditions, and all contracts, agreements, instructions and variations are administered in accordance with their terms and conditions and Salisbury’s corporate governance framework.

The Commercial Assistant is responsible for supporting the business achieve these objectives by working in support of the Commercial Supervisor the day to day operations of the Commercial Support Team.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring deadlines are tracked and met
  • Assist in generation of reports on Commercial Activities for detailed statistical analysis
  • Support completion of the Commercial Dashboard
  • Calculation and reporting of Performance Mechanisms
  • Support other teams to improve performance
  • Administration of the Service Change logs
  • Administration of the Innovations Register
  • Administration of the Commercial Queries Log
  • Ensuring Invoices are processed in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Support the purchase order process
  • Administration of Insurance Claims
  • Administration and scheduling of Contract Reviews
  • Commercial Administration Support

About You
Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required
  • GCSE in English and Maths or Equivalent
Essential Knowledge,Skills and Experience for this role
  • Minimum 3 years experience within the FM industry
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise against strict deadlines
  • Pro-active approach
  • Strong organisational skills
